Kell on alles 10 hommikul ning meil on juba 15 kraadi sooja. Detsembris! Selline tunne, et praegu on hoopis september… nii kummaline. Eriti veel see, et paar kuud tagasi sadas siin paksult lund.

I have been in America for two weeks now. Not much has happened… I don’t have jet-lag anymore, which is always good.

Oh, and last weekend we were taking care of a family friend’s farm. She has three beautiful horses (one of them is sick, sadly), chickens, kitty cats and two sweet puppies. It was so much fun to take care of them even though it meant waking up earlier. But it was just for couple of days, so it was fine.

Next week will be busy. Not only are there going orientations and other stuff like that but also classes will start soon. I think it was the 29th. I will be sure to post here about stuff that will be happening. This is so exciting! I still can’t believe that I am going to university, here, in America. Even before I graduated in Estonia. Crazy, huh?

I made it safely to America~
Everything went quite smoothly.

Since I got the tickets in the last minute, they only had business class tickets on the way to Holland. Which, of course I didn’t have any problems with. :D
Especially since I got them with a really good price.

I am going to have a longer post later. It is still very early here (5:43) and the only reason I am up is because of jet-lag.

I am going to America tonight. I know it is very sudden… honestly I didn’t expect to get the tickets so soon, especially to be able to fly back with the same planes as Joel.

I got the visa!!! Not only did I pass the interview on Wednesday but I already got it in mail on Thursday. And I thought originally that making a visa was going to take months. Americans do work fast~

Today, Joel and I spend some time with Keiu and her family (we went with a boat on the sea). It was a lot of fun but now I am exhausted so this post is going to be rather short.

I will miss Estonia… . Mostly because of my friends and family. It is little bit sad to leave since I grew up here and I am quite patriotic.
But I also love America and I feel that Estonia is not “home” anymore.
Which doesn’t mean I will forget Estonia now and never visit. After all, I have to come back when visa ends (2015).

Tomorrow I will go to the Embassy to have a visa interview. This is sort of the last (and the biggest) thing that will affect if I get the visa and if I can go to America.

Ok, this will be the “try post” where I will see if I want to continue writing in Estonian or if I should convert to English (keep in mind that even though I have had lots of practice, my English is not perfect).

I got my I-20 today! Or, well yesterday since it is already past twelve here.
Anyway, I had quite a busy day today because of that. From getting an appointment to US Embassy to getting a photo done for DS-160 Form - A form that I filled out more than an hour since it had questions not only about university, residency and stuff but also pages upon pages with questions like “Are you a terrorist?”, “Do you plan to do anything illegal while staying in America?”, “Are you a spy?” etc. Not even kidding. But I guess they need to know that stuff. Though why would anyone actually say in their visa application that they are a terrorist? Oh well… - to paying about 4000 EEK for SEVIS number and for an appointment with the Embassy, and finally filling out that form. I have few more things to do, but I will spare you from the boring details. 

Rest of this week is going to be crazy. Tomorrow I need to prepare everything I need to bring to the Embassy and I am going to meet up with a friend, who I haven’t seen for a half a year. On Wednesday, I will be visiting Tallinn for the visa thingy. Friday, we are going to the Leigo Lake concert thingy with my mom’s work place (pharmacy people). And, of course, I need to spend time with my friends. Who knows for how long I will stay here? As much as I know, student visas usually take about a week to make.

I hope that rest of the process will go as smoothly as it has been going~

Teine postitus juba järgmisel päeval. Mul läheb päris hästi~

Igatahes, uudiseid on. Ülikool otsustas, et nad ikkagi tahavad mind sinna kooli ning nad saadavad kas homme või saatsid juba täna välja I-20 (postiga, seega läheb mõned päevad aega enne kui Eestisse jõuab). Kätte saades, täidan selle ära ning siis pean ma kokkuleppima kohtumise USA Saatkonna… tüübiga. Seal ma annan neile vajalikud dokumendid ning peaks(?) olema ka vestlus.
Juhul kui I-20 peal pole rohkem juhtnööre, võtan ühendust Ülikooliga ning ma saan sealt küsida kas ma pean midagi veel tegema.

Programmi algus on 25. augustil (seal hulgas kooli tutvustamine, tunnid algavad 30. augustil). Kui õnnestub kõik asjad kiirelt ära ajada, olen ma selleks ajaks Ameerikas :)

Nagu kõik kes minu eelmist blogi jälgisid teavad, et ma ei olnud selles just väga… edukas. Seega olen otsustanud uue blogi teha siin, Tubmblris.
Alustan enda blogiga juba praegu, et harjuda järjepidevalt postitama.

Ehk teen veel ekstra blogi kuhu kirjutan inglise keeles, kuid praegu on minu eesmärgiks vähemalt üks blogi käima saada. :)

Ma saan esmaspäeval teada kas ma saan Ameerikasse õppima minna see aasta või ei saa. Või kui mitte esmaspäeval, siis kindlasti järgmise nädala jooksul. Kõik dokumendid on korda aetud, ka raha asjadega on nüüd asi selge. Nüüd tuleb oodata ülikooli vastust. Nad on mu muidugi juba ammu vastu võtnud, kuid neile ei meeldinud et mul on hetkel raha ainult üheks aastaks (mis on isegi hea arvestades kui tohutult kallis see on).

Igatahes, ma postitan hiljem uuesti kui mingeid uudiseid on või/ja kui midagi huvitavat toimub.
